Doug making contactDoug Kolmar has been working in traditional marketing and communications for over 15 years and in online marketing and web management for over a dozen. He built his first web site when AOL was still flooding mailboxes with diskettes. With experience ranging from major New York publishing and media companies such as Viacom, Macmillan, and Thomson to small nonprofits and specialty publishers, he has had the opportunity to learn many lessons about the promises and pitfalls of new media and marketing. He has learned to ignore the "gee whiz" factor of technology as well as the comfort of doing things the same old way; looking at each new opportunity with a "beginner's mind."
